1. What Epherit 50 mg is and what it is used for

Epherit 50 mg tablets can be used for:

– hypertension, fainting

– pulmonary asthma,

– chronic bronchitis,

– imminent respiratory paralysis,

– allergic diseases,

– treatment of short-term sleep attacks during the day,

– unusual movement, movement It can be given in the treatment of a triggered syndrome (such as marine or airborne illness) and in the absence of other advanced agents.

It has a direct irritant effect on the central nervous system and respiratory system.

2. Before you

take Epherit 50 mg Do not take Epherit 50 mg:

Other medicines and Epherit 50 mg tablets

Do not take :

– MAOIs (medicines used to treat depression), as they may cause high blood pressure.

Avoid co-administration with :

– certain anesthetics as the risk of cardiac arrhythmias may increase.

– tricyclic antidepressants, as the risk of certain nervous system symptoms may be increased.

Caution should be used with :

– cardiac glycosides as the risk of cardiac arrhythmias may be increased.

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Important information: Use

only as directed by your doctor.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

Can be given during pregnancy. Pregnancy Category „C“.

It should not be given to breast-feeding mothers in the absence of controlled studies.

Driving and using machines

You should avoid driving or operating machines because of the reduced attention and reaction time while taking this medicine.

Epherit 50 mg tablets contain lactose (milk sugar)

It also contains 124 mg lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.

3. How to use Epherit 50 mg tablets?

Always take Epherit 50 mg tablets exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The usual dose is: Adults: The usual dose is 3 x 1 / 2-1 tablets daily, or 1 tablet in asthma attacks. Children: The average dose is 0.5 to 1 mg / kg body weight per day.

Take the tablet with plenty of liquid (a glass of water). Use only at the dose and for the duration prescribed by your doctor.

If you take more Epherit 50 mg tablets than you should:

Symptoms of overdose: hypertension, fast heart rate, irregular heart beat, hallucinations, psychotic (mental disorder) reactions. Urinary retention.

If you forget to take Epherit 50 mg:

If you forget to take a dose, take the recommended dose as soon as possible.

If it is less than 8 hours before your next dose, take the missed dose but skip the next one. Then proceed as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people): anxiety, tremor, insomnia, confusion, increased irritability, weakness, nervous system disorders, nausea, vomiting.

Other side effects: hypertension, rapid heart beat, arrhythmia, cerebral hemorrhage , pulmonary edema, hypotension, palpitations, heartache, shortness of breath, sweating, salivation, headache, feeling of fear.

Reporting of adverse reactions

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly to the authority through the contact details in Appendix V.

By reporting side effects, you can help to make more information about the safe use of the medicine available.

5. How to store Epherit 50 mg tablets?

Do not store above 25 ° C.

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and the bottle after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist what to do with any medicines you no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.

The tablet can be divided into equal doses. Packaging: 20 tablets in a white plastic (PP) bottle and a white plastic (PE) bottle with a plastic cap (PE).
